Solid start to Austin-area home sales in 2014 with increases in volume, price

AUSTIN, Texas Feb. 21, 2014 – The Austin real estate market showed a solid start to 2014, according to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR). In January 2014, 1,449 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area, which is four percent more than January 2013, and the median price for Austin-area homes was $211,800, which is seven percent more than the same month in 2013.

AUSTIN, Texas  January 17, 2014– According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS®, Austin-area home sales reached a historic high for December while housing inventory dropped to an all-time low, and 2013 year-end figures show momentum in Austin real estate coursing steadily into the new year.

Austin-area home sales rise 14 percent, hit seven-year high for November

Austin Board of REALTORS® releases real estate statistics for November 2013

AUSTIN, Texas Dec. 19, 2013 – According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), the volume of home sales continues to rise as November became the 30th straight month of sales volume increases and the most home sales in November since 2006.

According to the report, 1,899 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area, which is 14 percent more than November 2012. The median price for Austin-area homes was $219,530, which is 10 percent more than the same month in 2012.

Austin-area Home Sales, Prices up Nine Percent in October

Austin Board of REALTORS® releases real estate statistics for October  

AUSTIN, Texas Nov. 21,  2013 –  According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), Austin-area home sales and prices increased nine percent in October.
According to the report, 2,145 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area, which is nine percent more than October 2012. The median price for Austin-area homes was $217,000, which is nine percent more than the same month in 2012.

Austin-area home sales up 34 percent; most home sales for September since 2005

Austin Board of REALTORS® releases real estate statistics for September 2013

 

AUSTIN, Texas Oct. 21,  2013 – According to the Multiple Listing  Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS®  (ABoR), the volume of Austin-area home sales continued to rise in September and  had the most single-family home sales for the month since 2005.

 

According to the report, 2,391 single-family  homes were sold in the Austin area, which is 34 percent more than September 2012.  On average, homes spent 44 days  on the market, which is a decrease of 22 days from one year prior.

AUSTIN, Texas – August 20, 2013 – According  to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board  of REALTORS® (ABoR), the Austin housing market experienced its  highest-performing month to date in terms of home sales.


 According  to the report, 3,135 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area, which is  35 percent more than July 2012. On  average, homes spent 41 days on the market, which is a decrease of 23 days from  one year prior.

Austin Board of REALTORS® releases real estate statistics for June 2013 and mid-year 2013 

AUSTIN, Texas – July 22, 2013 – According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), Austin-area year-over-year housing inventory fell to 2.9 months in June, a decrease of 1.5 months from June 2012. Mid-year statistics for 2013 reinforced a strong demand for the market, including a 19 percent increase in home sales and 25 percent less days on the market compared to the first six months of 2012.

AUSTIN, Texas – June 20, 2013 -  According to the Multiple Listing Service  (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR),  the volume of Austin-area home sales continues to rise, as May 2013 marked two straight years of sales volume  increases and the most  home sales in May on record.

According to the report, 2,991 single-family  homes were sold in the Austin area in May 2013, which is 29 percent more than May  2012. On average, homes spent 44 days on the market, which is a decrease of 19  days from one year prior.

AUSTIN, Texas – May 21, 2013 – According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)  report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), the  volume of Austin-area home sales continues to rise as April became the 23rd  straight month of year-over-year sales volume increases, and April saw its most  home sales since 2004.

According to the report, 2,563 single-family  homes were sold in the Austin area in April 2013, which is 32 percent more than  April 2012. On average, homes spent 50 days on the market, which is a decrease  of 19 days from one year

AUSTIN,  Texas – April 18, 2013– According to the Multiple Listing  Service (MLS) report released today by the Austin Board of REALTORS®  (ABoR), the volume of Austin-area home sales continues to rise as March became  the 22nd straight month of sales volume increases—the most home sales  in March since 2007.

According  to the report, 2,166 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area in March  2013, which is 16 percent more than March 2012. On average, homes spent 64 days  on the market, which is a decrease of 20 days from one year prior.
